I already mod UI's so I'm more excited to see it not being against tos.

More then likely anything the player can "Customize" outside of in game editing will be skins. Right now the only thing Players can customize is the Font and widget placement.
I have to thank Square-Enix for the amazing job they have done recreating Final Fantasy XIV from Scratch. Especially the inclusion of Missing Genders which we petitioned for in good faith. This was proof to us players that the Developers are truly Sympathetic to our requests and that being honest and vocal can pay off with the amazing characters we have who are Female Roegadyn, Male Miqote, and Female Highlanders. Thank You SE, Thank You Community Team, Thank You Yoshi-P.

Will probably be similar to how LOTRO does it, customisable skins etc.
It''s funny how everyone jumps to conclusions and think we are guna get completely modded LUA based scripting like WoW.
I think for a lot of people, there's a major difference between UI and addon. UI changes the ... UI around, without adding any major functionality. Addons are what add functionality.I just do not want what happen in WoW happening hear. I had nothing but issues with WoW addons either not working, crashing my game, crashing my pc and giving it viruses. One thing I disliked was even if you explained your situation, no one would let you join the guilds. Like currently I play in my bros laptop in our kitchen. I got to watch out what LS talks about when my nephew is near me. And I can't DL anything since its not my pc. Meaning no vent or Addon. When I had to share my pc i bought (now broken) I had a similar rule put on it cuz they all had ipods and needed space for their Itunes (which they fail to understand that those did take up space on the computer if you downloaded them then put them on the ipod.)
But even so, there were a lot of awesome addons in WOW that I feel wouldn't give a huge advantage (or any) to PC players over PS3 players. My favorites were addons that let me open up all mail items at a time, without having to manually go through one by one; in-game item list and boss monster drop list; dungeon maps (before Blizzard came up with official ones); etc. Basically stuff that's more for user friendliness and convenience, and not about giving me a big edge over other players. I'd be ok with seeing some of those in FFXIV.
