I'm also waiting to get a bit more gear. I can go tank and go dps Garuda no prob but this week I'm going to farm CM and get those DL peices before I even try to go gain Titan experience.

OMG a player whose common sense takes precedence over his sense of entitlement. I didn't think these people existed in FFXIV.

I'm an old school MMO player. Started out with Ultima Online.

There are gear limitations for every fight. It's one thing to tell someone their gear isn't good enough, it's another to be an asshole about it. There are a lot of assholes in this game when it comes to this perceived "elitism" that's been going around.

I find the "instant gratification" generation annoying, we could do with out them, if you want something, put the work in and earn it in game. If you're gear isn't good enough, do something else and get better gear. These people are use to being carried through life, it's sad.

I also have my beef with the so called "elitists", it's fine if you want people to be properly geared, but everyone has to learn the fight at some point. So come down off your high horse and STFU.

5100 HP is enough to tank Titan. I did it at 4900 on my first kill. The important part is to have a cooldown up for EVERY SINGLE MOUNTAIN BUSTER. It requires careful juggling of your cooldowns, but trust me once you get a hang of it, it makes the fight almost trivial on your end.

Just echoing this, with my food buff I was at 4995 hp my first titan kill. It's ALL about managing your cooldowns around mountain buster.
