BLM - Freeze spell bugged ?

Hello,
Not sure if it's a popular subject or I'm just stupid or I'm just the only one in this case, however my freeze spell doesn't seem to be working as intended.

Indeed, the spell description says clearly that it lays ice on the floor for 10 seconds and then anyone who enters it gets the damage and blind effect. However, When I use this spell, it only makes an ice explosion that lasts about 1 sec instead of really putting ice of the floor that stays for 10 seconds like the spell details says.

What's going on this that?

Not to mention that is used to be like this uber ancient magic... Now it seems pretty lame. They should call it Frost instead.

The problem is with bind. Bind is removed upon the enemy recieving damage. Thus, Freeze is useless, as is the binding skill for archers. The only time I've seen freeze used at all was Garuda (normal) for the feathers... and it wasn't even that effective.
