    You are correct. So this still means that FFXIV could work like Netflix, still be able to play online without having to go through PSN, unless they are optimizing FFXIV for that specific reason.

    The book of release dates at GameStop has XIV releasing in November of 2011.

    The only reason GameStop says November 2011 is because it's a placeholder so people can start pre-ordering. That's the only reason unfortunately. If they had a legit release date for the PS3 release, you'd hear it from SE, not GameStop lol.

    I honestly don't see the PS3 version being ready until Q1 2012..but I could be wrong! and I'm hopeful that I am. I'm actually really hopeful they might show something at E3 and just treat it as a clean slate or something. Hopefully. Hope hope hope..

    Oh, and also, FFXI you could play on Xbox 360, but if Xbox Live was down, you couldn't go online and play.
