Dedicated 4 man

I just found out 3 of my coworkers are playing the game on another server. With transfers opening up very soon, I'm not going to reroll, I'll just keep chugging away with what I have.

HOWEVER

The group has a healer (WHM), tank (PLD), and a dps (DRG). I am currently playing a DRG as well, and we're all similarly leveled. I tried the archer class for 16 levels, and really didn't care for it, and I hate the way the high-end bard gear looks. So, not wanting to play a BLM my only other option seem to be a monk (which I'm 50/50 on), but I'm looking a the Warrior, and it's looking like a DPS with that big two-handed axe.

So, with all that preamble, my question is this: would a dedicate group with a WAR as it's 4th be viable, or is a full DPS really needed for the dungeons?

Try Arcanist/Summoner.

That said, having a second tank DPS is fine for the 4mans, it'll just be slower than it could be. For the 8mans you need two tanks in the first place (unless you go with speed runs, anyway) so it works out.
