    Duty Finder suggestion

Why not add some sort of mentor system?

Experienced players can check the "mentor" box and they will be matched up with inexperienced players in duty finder. There could also be a "normal" check box that would leave your DF as is (the default). So you could check one or both of the boxes.

There could be two options for the inexperienced player as well - a "mentor assist" checkbox and a "normal" checkbox. They can pick whichever they feel like.

There would need to be some requirements, like the player has to do the dungeon X amount of times to join the party as a mentor, or maybe even a level requirement.

Of course, there would have to be an incentive, too. Maybe more tomes? Better drop rates? An increase in EXP?

Also, it wouldn't even have to be called a 'mentor'. This is just a general idea so that there's less nerdrage when it comes to DF groups.

    In addition:

There could either be a limit to the number of times one could mentor weekly, or the more 'upvotes' they get from the players they are mentoring, the more rewards they get. This way, not just anyone would be getting the rewards. Rewards would go to people who are mentoring well in accordance to what other players are experiencing with that person.

Rewards could be proportional to the number of upvotes they get from other players, and there could also be a reward cap at a certain amount of upvotes so the rewards don't get too crazy.

Point is, if they do put a mentor system in, I'm sure caps will be put into place, much like the weekly mythology tome cap. I have faith that SE devs are smart enough to come up with a proper system so that players don't take as much advantage.

This is actually a good idea.

That's the overall idea when you enter a dungeon already. The duty announces that someone in the group is new and offers a bonus for completion. It's up to the other group members to be helpful enough to make the dungeon successful.

Except that it means nothing, especially once you get new players running Lv50 dungeons like Amdapor Keep (who needs experience at 50 anymore?). There are currently not enough incentives for people to be nice and helpful to new players (the fact that we need more incentives to begin with is pretty sickening), but what the OP would be suggesting would be to drop stuff like tomestones or something rare. Perhaps that might be a first step to having a more newbie-friendly community.

Would be cool if they could give us something that recognizes a person who's "mentored" many dungeons, or many times.

Unfortunately you'd have the same people everyone here considers the "toxic community" signing up as mentor so they get extra tomes leaving the new players with people that can't really be bothered with properly explaining stuff and just want the extra tomes, resulting in even more new players being "forced" to speedrush through certain dungeons.

While the incentive is lacking at the moment, if you make the incentive too big everyone will try and get it which will make the whole thing meaningless since everyone who can sign up as mentor will sign up as mentor. There'd have to be quite a lot of restrictions in place to prove that the people applying as mentors are actually capable of teaching people how stuff works, rather than "Weeh, done this 10x, now to sign up as mentor and get extra tomes" players and I highly doubt SE will implement a proper mentor system.

Another idea: premade groups of four can replace a member who quits by using the duty finder.
Had so many premade groups screw me over it's unbelievable.
Advice for now: Maximum premade group of 3 unless it's friends.

Good idea. I prefer to group with inexperience people anyways; get's boring running after geared people where nothing interesting ever happens. A messy group keeps me on my toes...

Also more incentives for healers/tanks to perhaps lessen the wait time on DF
