To be honest I'm finding your writing rather hard to follow, but your saying you bought gold and used it for crafting? If that is true, then it makes no sense to me anyway.your missing the whole point... I know what I have used buying gold or whatever for in mmo's and I never used it for buying gear. I used it to progress in crafting cause I have always loved crafting then the actual gameplay and making stuff... people getting off subject to defend just a investigation of peoples account -_-
I'm not defending SE investigating peoples accounts, I wish they would and hurry up about it, rather than auto-suspending people en mass and taking forever for a real person to actually investigate the accounts.
Exactly, people like the OP are the reason legit players are being screwed and the game economy is in ruins.
I blame the buyers more than I blame the sellers.
And odds are, a good portion of those players resorted to buying gil to afford that carry. So even if you did not personally buy gil, you profit off it.Non legacy - 7.8m, no gathering classes. If you count the gil I've spent buying materia for melds and tome items, I probably had over 10m gil in total.
Thanks, Titan sale buyers. Our group must have fitted well over 200 players with their shiny relics over the past two weeks. Funny thing is I think I've only seen the Titan Heart drop four times in all those runs.
With tome items selling at 50k each on Ultros, I highly doubt anyone needs to buy gil to pay 200-250k for a Titan clear.
So you guys have made 40 million gil just from those 200 players you've walked through titan and charged 200k?
And we're supposed to believe that those 200 players alone raised 40 mill just through selling tome items?
Chances are, you've taken illegal gil at some point.

You get like 400k from all the quests. Yet making 200k requires gilsellers? Really now?
What i'm curious about, do people call this pay to win? If Square sold relics for about $20 (going by what i see gil sellers selling at), would people be complaining about the game being pay to win? How is this any different? I'm also totally positive many of those were gil buyers, the odds are just too high for it to be true.
Well that's cheap, going rate on my server is 350k-700k. Besides, most people will want to spend those tomes on gear and thus short cutting by buying off RMT businesses is looking to be the only option.

Is there a chance some of them were gil buyers? Maybe if they haphazardly used their gil while leveling up. But even then, people aren't going to refuse payment on the off chance that the guy bought it from an illegal source. With that mindset, crafters that sell HQ 2 star items at 600k+ are just as guilty of potentially taking bought gil.
