With tome items selling at 50k each on Ultros, I highly doubt anyone needs to buy gil to pay 200-250k for a Titan clear.

So you guys have made 40 million gil just from those 200 players you've walked through titan and charged 200k?
And we're supposed to believe that those 200 players alone raised 40 mill just through selling tome items?

You get like 400k from all the quests. Yet making 200k requires gilsellers? Really now?

Well that's cheap, going rate on my server is 350k-700k. Besides, most people will want to spend those tomes on gear and thus short cutting by buying off RMT businesses is looking to be the only option.

What i'm curious about, do people call this pay to win? If Square sold relics for about $20 (going by what i see gil sellers selling at), would people be complaining about the game being pay to win? How is this any different? I'm also totally positive many of those were gil buyers, the odds are just too high for it to be true.

Non legacy - 7.8m, no gathering classes. If you count the gil I've spent buying materia for melds and tome items, I probably had over 10m gil in total.

Is there a chance some of them were gil buyers? Maybe if they haphazardly used their gil while leveling up. But even then, people aren't going to refuse payment on the off chance that the guy bought it from an illegal source. With that mindset, crafters that sell HQ 2 star items at 600k+ are just as guilty of potentially taking bought gil.

Precisely why I refuse to sell HQ 2 star items on my server, despite being more than capable to do so and knowing how much profit I would do if I choose to sell them. I know there is a very high % risk that those buying HQ 2 star items are gil buyers.

HQ 2 items are insane in price....1 mill per piece not including material + melds which brings the cost even higher. This game looks to be tailor made for RMT sellers to make a mint.

IMO, they just need to make monsters drop gold, simple as that. Not a crazy amount, but probably between 25-75 from 1-30 (monster level), 100 to 200 from 31 to 40 (monster level) and 210 to 250 from 41 to 50 (monster level).

Mind you, these are probably abused, but it's just an idea, and if you were in a party, the gil would split with the amount of player that are present on the same map

Also depends if you run as a duo. My wife levels DoL and I level DoH. So she, atm, has a level 50 miner and I have a 50 GSM with like a level 20 something miner.

Think outside the box, sometimes people are not RMTing.

I noticed what they said about people having a part in the recent RMT gil selling. I spoke to customer support about what they are doing about the people who bought gil. A lot of the people were obvious gil buyers due to no DoM/DoW/gathering classes above level 5 but all tradecrafts at 50 and all HQ items on a non-legacy server. These same people will argue their point of using the marketboard like a pro. Are they going to take care of these people even if they don't have a high amount of gil on their characters to keep unnoticed but abused the system. Is there a way for them to backtrack accounts and look at their activity, so these members also get punished?

The ones that are most likely to be gil buyers:
1. People who buy HM Titan clears for 500k gil.
2. People who have barely any crafting class or gathering class, but has i70 HQ gear.

In fact anyone buying i70 HQ gear should immidietely be investigated for RMT.
