Relic quest progress lost following server crash

Server- Balmung

I submitted this originally through a GM ticket, but was told to post a report on the forums.

Shortly before Balmung's server crash on Monday night I had turned in my completed Madman's Whispering Rod to Gerolt and advanced A Relic Reborn forward to the step where one is required to kill Chimera. About 5-10 minutes after doing this the realm crashed as referenced on The Lodestone. When I logged in Tuesday evening I was dismayed to find that my quest progress had been reset to deliver the rod and that the Rod, Materia, and Matter were all gone from my inventory.

I would appreciate it if someone could please assist me with either moving my quest progress back where it was or restoring my missing weapon so I can turn it in again.

Unfortunately I haven't seen anything posted as a resolution to this yet.

This just happened to a fellow FC member 2 days ago, he ended up just
buying the weapon/materia and doing it all over again. He was up to
Garuda Hard Mode, too. Sad days.
