Because making 7 other people stand around for a total of like 20 minutes while you watch cutscenes that you can watch elsewhere is totaly not being a prick either....nope not at all

The game system itself was made so you get those cut scenes, it's up to the player to choose if they want to watch or not. If you go a group through DF and find someone trying to enjoy the story like it should be, you got no choice. Now you want to go ahead and start throwing words at the person go ahead, but be warned, you could be reported for harassment as the other person did NOTHING wrong. He's playing the game the way it should be played because of the way it's setup up right now. Don't blame the player.
Nope, it's not, The sad part if in this horrible display of sarcasm you already admit it. of course only the selfish and impaitent seriously consider someone to be a "prick" just because they actually want to enjoy the story without being told "go watch in your inn cause we already seen them and don't care for what you want, only what WE want instead"
Now who exactly are the pricks here?
No. It isn't. Jumping into the Duty Finder and acting like a prick because someone was *gasp* new to the dungeon is the problem here. You don't like it? Leave. Go make a premade party. There is no excuse for shitting on someones day just because you're impatient despite deliberately going through channels that have a very high chance of pairing you with someone new.

I think it's easier for newbies to find other newbies or people who don't mind, speed runners are the majority and you have to deal with itNo. It isn't. People keep saying speed runners are the majority and those who want to skip cutscenes are the majority. However, if you look through this thread you'll notice every post defending those watching cutscenes is generating significantly more likes than those defending skipping them. Methinks the skippers have an awful high opinion of themselves.
Seems to me like if your going to use the Duty Finder to find groups it's the speed runners who need to learn to deal with it. You can't use a widespread public system like this and expect only 1 kind of player. That's unrealistic in both theory and in practice. Especially considering 15-50 players have been trained to goto the duty finder to find groups for dungeons.
Funny, because I was going to say the same thing about speed runners. Especially the "you have to deal with it". The speed runners have no recourse against people who play the game as it was intended. If someone wants to watch the cutscenes, the worst a speed runner can do is rage quit the group. Boo hoo, they will get replaced![]()
True. Those people will cost the players in that group a few minutes to an hour of gameplay time, but themselves 3-7 days of gameplay time after they get reported for griefing![]()
