I got into "speedrun" CM for my storyline today. You know what? I was friggin happy about that! Because they knew how crap worked the run was smooth, I got CM done first try and without any frustration because of clueless people and afterwards I went to the inn and watched the cutscenes. Give me getting bullied into skipping cutscenes, but having a good party everytime over watching cutscenes but having a crap party.

Not all the cutscenes from CM are shown in your inn book. So, no, let the new guys watch the cutscenes.

In any case, your clever suggestion is a fail because not all CSes are in the replay system: for example, to name but one, the pre-final battle in Toto-Rak is NOT in my inn playback and that's a pretty key section of the story at that point. Anyone bullied into skipping it will never know what happens there.

I was bullied into skipping them and I currently have NO IDEA how I ended up fighting Lahabrea. When I went to go view them at the inn, all I had there was the cutscenes AT THE END of the quest, not the stuff DURING.

I'm willing to give you the benefit of the doubt because frankly I was flabbergasted that they weren't there, so it wouldn't surprise me if I was wrong. However, I did think I was looking pretty thoroughly at the time. Also someone upthread has also said they didn't find a cutscene from Totorak in their inn playback either.

It's not exactly intuitive, I'll give you that - but it's definitely all there. Maybe someone can post a screenshot of where to go? I'm not in front of my system at the moment. (Alternatively, since you're already using a web browser, youtube had a few compilations as well that went through all the cutscenes at once.)

This is true. I was looking forward to seeing my WHM attack the boss (seen it in someone's sig as a BRD), but it did NOT appear in the Inn logbook.. guess I'll never get to see it

EDIT: Problem would be solved if we were able to actually watch all the CSes at the INN. This is something we, who want to pay attention to the story but do skip CSes for benefit of other party members, should push the DEVs for.

you get a selection of thirteen (yes 13!) cutscenes to watch. Only reason you'd miss some is if you joined the run midway and was never present for the events that triggered the CS.
