I only bullied my Hubby because we knew we could watch them in the room.
But I would never hold anyone back from watching them.

And I didn't want us to be the ones holding us back.

Also I find with WP and AK being speed run faster then CM. I'm not sure why anyone would Speed run CM at this point for points.
I've gotten WP down to under 33 mins, my hubby and I don't even have my dark light set yet.
I clearly see us breaking the sub 20 min as we get better gear.

You want a speed run? Put up your own group in /sh in Mor'dhona with 7 other people that want the same type of run.

And for people new to the story instances... don't let them bully you if you care for the story. Ignore them, and watch your cutscenes... they can leave if they are so annoyed by a few minutes wait.

Looove this, thank you. This thread is kind of old, but I just beat the game, and during the last mission(SPOILER) and out of all the battles I missed 3. Gaius, The red guy(forgot his name) and Lahabrea all because I wanted to watch and enjoy the story that I have been working on beating, and my party decided to rush into the battle without telling me and now I have to do it all over again just to experience the battles I missed. I can at least happily and proudly say that I did not let them bully my into skipping scenes that I worked to get to and watched each and every one of them, but still it's just not cool. I really hope they find some sort of balancing system to this, or start making shorter cutscenes before battle, and then longer ones when it is over. Also I used the DF to get my party, so why people who have experienced the storyline and expecting me to skip would join a DF party, I don't have a clue, you can't choose who you get in DF so they shouldn't rush into stuff when someone is watching the scenes. It's just frustrating, and making a stress relieving game anything but.

You cannot just honestly tell people to watch the scenes in your inn room, that is WACK! How they heck am I gonna skip a scene and then all of a sudden the battle starts and I am fighting a whatchyamacallit from onlygodknowswhere and them I am left confused as hell. "Oh but again I can just go back to my inn room and find out why the hell I just fought that thing". NO! F-that... it's not the same.

P.S. Also cutscenes in this game are really not that long, the longest cutscene I read was about 5 minutes long, and they give you an hour and a half to 2 hours usually to complete the missions, and I doubt 5 minutes will make that much of a difference.

And you know what else is funny? Hilarious even. EVERYONE and their mother, cried and whined about the lack of story and development from 1.0, yet now, with a new story, and updated development to experience, people wanna skip cutscenes..... Seriously???

And this is why we queued as 4 people, 2 tanks and 2 healers and watched every cutscene when we did our storylines. They had to either suck it up, cry about it or leave.

Dick move? Sure. But seeing as people don't really care about how I want to play, neither will I about how they want to play (though back when we did speed runs with sub 8 people we always let the other watch cutscenes because why not).

I personally think a simple solution would be this. People, for example, who have YET to beat a dungeon should only be able to party with people who have YET to beat the dungeon. In this case the game should force EVERYONE to watch the cutscenes and start at the same time(of course this should be different if you make your own party, I am talking about using the DF). And then people who HAVE beaten a dungeon and are just running it again, the game should auto-skip the cutscenes.

I agree with you, when it was my first time doing it I was forced to skip it too and they were very unwelcome to new comer as well. Never have I experience such terrible people and communities. Do one thing wrong and they would rage quit.

It going to be even worst when Vote Kick is in place. They gonna Vote Kick people who watch cut scene.
