This debate really needs to end. For those who are anxious for speed runs, there is a very viable alternative for them to go about it which has already been stated: form a pre-made group with those rules set in place. If you choose to ignore this method and take a roll of the dice in the Duty Finder, then please remember that there are no special rules in force. You are taking a gamble on what the conditions of your group will be and there are no factors which allow you to become Supreme Emperor of the party. Anyone believing the contrary simply needs to get over themselves.

As for myself, personally.. the last time I checked, it is my banking information that will be funding my subscription. Therefore, I call the shots on how the game is played. Now, if there are those who feel "inconvenienced" by this, then they are more than happy to pay for my subscription. Until then, I suppose they will simply need to suck it up and deal with spending a few precious minutes of their lives watching a cut scene.

Like others said, what if the kick wasn't possible for someone who hasn't cleared the instance dungeon?

Not sure if it retains your first time dungeon run status even if you run out of time or for you just being in that dungeon once without clearing.
So until that clear flag is put on that character, the kick feature shouldn't allow anyone to kick the player just because he's new or watching cut scenes for his/her first time.

You should really educate yourself on how the "vote to kick" feature is going to work, as I am afraid that you have been misinformed regarding its intent. It is reserved for those who have disconnected or become inactive (AFK).

And besides.. I'm a tank. You would rather kick the tank and wait in queue for a new one rather than wait a lesser amount of time for a cut scene to reach its completion? All the while, I would enjoy my instant queue to rejoin the same dungeon. I assure you, I believe I would manage just fine if this were the case... though unfortunately for you, it is not.

That would be abusing the kick feature. They will not implement it without solving most issues where people will abuse the feature. It may not even be in 2.1 patch. See Camate comment.

From a technical standpoint, it wouldn't be very difficult to have a vote to kick feature for the Duty Finder, and we are planning to implement this.

However, as there is the concern that it could be used maliciously to get rid of players that groups do not like, we are working hard to create a system that reduces the chances for problems to occur. Due to this, we are continuing to look into the feature, as well as whether we will implement this in patch 2.1.

Not being one to deprive people of their story experience, but also being a stickler for efficiency, I take the neutral ground in this conflict...Both sides have rights and wrongs.

Currently, the endgame in this is garbage and needs a *series* of overhauls. I'd be fine if they removed or decreased tomestone rewards from CM to discourage speedrunning, but we also need other avenues to obtain them from. A *lot* of other avenues. More dungeons, daily quests, random rewards, item exchanges, etc etc etc.

If they fail to supply this for the next major patch, I fear this game will go free 2 play sooner than I anticipated. *sadface*

I think the only time we grab people from DF is if we can't find anyone on the FC, we tend to only run with those that have the raidcall if possible, so in the instance where we have no choice but to grab a random we make sure its a DPS, we bring our own tanks and healers so to what the other person mentioned we never have to wait for a tank in a run, and the majority of times we run CM its for speed only, clear it in 20-25 min, and run again. Honestly there is no way to find common ground on this, there will always be speed runners and those who want the story, rule of thumb if the ones that want to watch the cutscenes outweigh the speed runners then watch the cutscenes, if its vice versa then watch them another time, god knows you will likely be running that dungeon more than once if you are looking to do end game content.

Watch and let watch. Even after I finished the story line, my stance hasn't changed.
You don't have the right to tell anyone to skip cut scenes.
And all of us have every rights to watch all the cut scenes as we please.
