Pretty much this. Hes the fool for letting some no name faceless idiots make him do anything. I personally cannot wait to get to these ... im going to troll those whiny little nerds so hard. I think ill have more fun reading their rage than completing the dungeon. Its like the more they whine the more ill be typing my lol's, meaning im reading slower and taking longer.

Oh, I was even more violently angry...but that had everything to do with what the community did to Red Mage and the developers allowing it to continue. They had PLENTY of chances, and blew every single one of them.

As for the topic at hand, I am one of those willing to wait and stand by new players to watch the cutscenes no matter how many times I've done the dungeon. As I was once in their position, I will not pressure them to skip out on story content for a pack of rushers. DO NOT CAVE TO THEM if you want to watch.

Try to bring a couple tank or healer friends with you willing to wait and/or watch the cutscenes with you.

if you're too weak to not watch the cutscenes when you want to then you deserve to miss them.
who the hell gets 'bullied' in an MMORPG, these players made a choice to skip them, no one can force them.
Also the CM cutscenes are crap and there is pretty much no story in them anyways.

Sorry about the luck of whoever I run my first dungeon with. I WILL be watching the cutscenes. I will also be patient when others do so. Its called common courtesy.

If you want speed runs, then you only need 1 tank and 1 healer, 2 at most. In DF it pairs you with 2 tanks instead, which is useless.

Do yourself a favour, don't do DF if you want to speed run, because using DF to speed run is in no way logical.

Solution:

Add a "Watch Cutscene" Check box to the duty finder next to "Join runs in progress" check box. If you uncheck that you only get paired with people who also unchecked it. Also for runs with it unchecked, cutscenes would not even show up, no option to skip them, they just don't exist with this run type.

This sounds like a good idea to me.

I don't understand why people are so angry over this. SE is to blame. Where is the best place to run for tomes to get Darklight the fastest? CM. The place with 45 minutes of cut scenes. So on one hand I understand its not fair to rush people through cut scenes, but its not fair to punish the people that are farming for gear either. Sometimes our FC has to pug one or two, but instead of complaining that we are ruining your in-game immersion, how about you just enjoy the 20 minute CM run and go back to the inn and rewatch at your convenience? Stop getting mad at players who are trying to push through end game in a mind numbing place, and start putting the blame were it should lay, directly in SE's lap for being so short sited with end game gear.

And SE, please for the love of god either give us a skip all button, or give us a better place to farm tomes in. Someone didnt think this one through.

My FC has agreed to take all our slower-leveling members through story dungeons for their first time, so they can experience it correctly.

I agree with OP in the sense that, if someone wants a speedrun, they should build a group for that purpose. If they choose to use DF for convenience, they need to recognize that a wide range of players will be found.

The community would benefit by being helpful/patient/friendly with new people.

All those cutscenes are in the inn. Use the menu to select duty and then you can look at them.

I stand corrected, all cutscenes, are indeed, available at the inn. While it is a nice alternative it still doesn't create the immersion that watching them when you are going through the dungeon for the first time does, makes the dungeon really feel epic for people that want to enjoy their game's story, especially the Praetorium ones.

That book in the inn is for RE-living scenes from the game, it's not a Tivo or a DVR to 'catch what you missed'.
