    Spikes/ delay / lag etc ( us ping 150 , eu ping 300+ < i live in europe )

    How is this even possible?)

I am getting 300+ ping on europe and 100-150 on us and i live in romania.

Have one of the top providers in europe 100mb fibre optic no issues for the past 4+ years all games 30ms max, worst 100ms latency.

Please fix this issue and here are some details in regards to my problem.

ISP : RCS RDS ( pretty much everyone from romania runs this isp )
    Windows 7 ultimate x64bit
    i7 860
    16gb ram
    Radeon hd 6870
During the day i have no issues
I only have issues during the night 5-11pm , major spikes 5-10 secs and increased ping 300+ms

    Have a great evening.

It's not the connection between Canada and Europe. There's something odd going on either at the server itself or one of the hops immediately outside of it. It's almost like the connection is being throttled by SE's ISP when it gets too busy.

Eventually, forum posters, especially in a tech support forum, will realize that this phrase doesn't actually affect whether any company is hearing or will try to help you. They either recognize there is a problem and are already trying to fix it, recognize it and are not trying to fix it, or they still don't think there's a problem, and that will absolutely not change based on how many random forum goers send them "I'M GOING TO QUIT" threats. They already know people don't like to be inconvenienced or to be unable to play the game.

The best way to be heard is to state you're having a problem, give as much information about the problem itself as possible, and just leave it at that. That way, the people who are in a position to fix the problem, especially if they are trying to solve it and need the information from posters, don't have to dig through a bunch of ultimatums instead of the actual information.

You are right. To post that one will not be subbing is pointless here on the forums. Its not like SE reads them anyway. However... regardless if a player came to the forums to say they wont be subbing, SE will still see that ppl are not subbing when that time comes. Vocal or not.. SE will know their customers are not happy..... again.

Sarcastic or not, you are at least partially correct. They already know people aren't happy, and they almost certainly know before people come onto the forums to complain about it. They doubtlessly have network technicians who are monitoring connections to the server and can see that they aren't behaving as they're supposed to, and this, just like every other forum online, especially for video games, is going to be full of people threatening to quit as soon as that happens (whether the problem is minor, major, something SE can fix quickly or not, whether the problem is with the game or outside of it).

Everyone wants to throw up their hands and complain when something goes wrong, and that's fine. The problem is that, when there are forums in which people want to look to find solutions to problems, or techs need to find solutions through customer information, the threats, sarcastic comments, complaints, etc. actually hinder, rather than help, fixing the problem or getting help for those who need it (when it can actually be found). That's why, in a TS forum, it's best to leave all the data you can and leave out the comments that might incite non-data related posts.

I was trying to be short and coherent in regards to my fustration ... i am fully aware that they KNOW that there is a problem and i am fully aware that they will eventually fix it .
I don't see by trying to put the fix in a faster motion by expressing my displease whit the service and that this is a subscription based game and it does need to have huge standards especially in 2013 and in our gaming industry , a bad thing.
    But ok .

That's just it; they know people are going to quit if they don't solve the issue, so mentioning it won't actually spur them and just creates clutter. It's perfectly acceptable to feel that way, but in a tech support forum, where people are looking for solutions to problems, it just adds to what the reps have to read rather than going on to other problems.

So you're getting the spikes during European Prime Time? I, too, had lag today from 10am to 2pm my time, which is Pacific Time in the US. That correlates to 8pm-12am in Romania. As of right now on Cactuar, the lag appears to have subsided (it's 2:11pm PST), and that would be at the tail end of Europe's Prime Time (10PM in London, later elsewhere)...

No problem! I'm annoyed, too, and I'm sorry you are as well. I hope you're able to play more and/or the problem is resolved tomorrow or at least quickly thereafter so that you can continue to enjoy the game.
