Quick question, what happens to the relic weapon when new content and new level cap is introduced. I am under the impression the Relic weapon is the best, so if the level cap is risen wont the higher level wepons be better than Relic? This also applies to AF2?

Just thought I would ask before I start trying to go for Titan HM!!

Kidding aside, no one knows until SE says something specially on the subject of relics or we find out ourselves with new content releases. The nature of how this game is setup (similar to other MMO's) that you will always striving for the best gear/weapons. You can't plan on waiting on getting something forever in the fear it will be out dated. Just work at your own pace to try and do what you can to keep as up to date as possible when playing your role.

I'm sure folks will try to mention what FFXI did, but in all honesty. It's a different game, different mechanics, and frankly just a different play style.

Probably what Nouran said, with new higher level craftables and rare drops in between. Maybe eventually they can be upgraded to a whole brand new set of AF and Relic with a different name and look, along with accompanying quests. Probably in a future expansion.

With new content maybe they add Mythic or Empy like in FFXI , maybe they will better , maybe they will have requirement to have previous tier "relik weapon" before u can accept quest for "Mythic" , same goes for "Empy" - must have Relic&Mythic done before can get quest For Empy . Or...... they can relic +1 +2 +3 +4...

Don't assume relic will always be best.

We made that mistake with ffxi and they decided to blow up relic/mythic/empy weapons after making them the single most important factor in the game for 5 years.

Always assume EVERYTHING is getting replaced next update.

Well, relics(+1) aren't the best weapons available. Allagan from turn 5 of CoB are atm. I assume newer weapons will be introduced when the dungeons scale in item level difficulty.

So at the moment there is no need to go butt rushing to get Relic!
