3-10 sec pause/lag

I have less than a 100 ping from Washington State all the way to Montreal with a crazy high download and upload speed yet I am getting a 3-10sec pause every few secs while playing FFXIV on my desktop. This is not acceptable for an online game. My sub for 6mos is about to be charged but I will cancel it if the game is not playable. Thank you.

Welcome to the club. They are ignoring emails, ignoring this forum, ignoring Twitter, and in general, ignoring potential subscribers. I'm frustrated but I'm only going to mess around w/ this game for so long, then it's on to the next one.

You are not alone. There are tons of ppl having this exact issue. Just wait till everyone starts telling you that it is your problem, your isp's problem, and that YOU need to fix it.

This issue is so frustrating. Its been going on all month just not to the degree it has been over the last two days. While I hate that I and others are having this issue, I am glad its gotten worse over the last two days so enough ppl will start to complain about it in order to get something done about the problem.

This imo is the worst time to be having these issues as so many players are about to be up on their free time. If you cant play a game for the last week of your trial due to issues on the companies end are you going to sub???? Probably not.

I had this issue occasionally but ever since the last midnight maintenance it gets like this during peak time. I believe it has to do with the fact that they upped the instance server load as I was able to queue for AK in less than 5mins during peak times. This seems to have affected the world server load in zones people are grinding fates,etc. Obviously they fixed one thing but broke another.....

I have just canceled the automatic renewal of my subscription. I wanted to add 90 days cause the game is lot of fun. Although I was unable to play the last 2 days due to extremely high lag. If by chance the problem is solved the next 4 days that I still have to play then I ll add more game time. or else I ll wait for some friends already bought game card time to ensure me that the problem was fixed...This is not any "threat" or "rage quit", e.t.c. I am just unable to play cause sadly I can only play on peak times due to real life responsibilities and at peak time the game is unplayable right now.

The pauses are tell tale signs of an army of 90k errors coming your way. Just log off because once that starts, your game IS unplayable.

running fine from launch till 2 days ago. now sometimes it takes me 3 minuets just to mine a single node.

Exactly the same problem. Unplayable from Sweden, 300-500ms latency.
