Why can't we just have an mmo that is designed to last longer than 3 months?

FF XIV 1.0 would like to have a word with you. It did lack content so people did run out of content, but it was actually intended to have a shitload of "timesinks". Leveling 1 Class to 50 took 4+ Weeks in the beginning, not to mention how slow leveling Gathering/Crafting was and i loved it, but guess what.. people did complain that they can not rush to Endgame within 1 Week, people did complain that everything is not done within 1 week and so on.

You can not please the current Generation of Gamers, since they like to be fooded with a golden spoon and then complain that it does not have a diamond placed in the shaft.
