Never really understood what bothers people so much about bots. So what? They want to cheat, let them cheat, and let them face the consequences. It doesn't affect you, and remember that RMT are commonly responsible for upholding the economies on the realms.

Wouldn't do it myself as I like the sense of accomplishment, but if others want to, not really any of my business.
Theres a limite on how many items u can find in an area. (by gathering or killing mobs), to control the market and economy of the game. Botters kill that system. It lower ure chance to find the item u want , and it kills the ward prices. I dont even want to pay for any item/gear in wards cause i fear to give gils to a stupid botter owner. Sadly i have to admitt i use wards anyway.I dont pay anything to play for now its ok. But i wont be agree to pay a game with so many botter than kill my fun. So SE have to do something to make this game totally legit.

    first things first.

    1) Every MMO has botters. This isn't just MMORPGs. COD, Halo, LoL, HoN, BC, FFXI, WoW, PWI, Atlantica, RoM and FFXIV ALL have botters. You aren't going to stop botters. No one will. SE TRIED to stop them, but in return, they lost most of their player base because of their anti RMT actions.

    2) There isn't a limit to how many items players can get in an area. I'm not sure where you got that info from, but it's wrong. You get gathering fatigue. It's like...every 150 or so items, you start failing all gathers. This isn't because of botters at all. It's because of SE trying to stop botters, but they just go right through it because they still get SP for fails.

    3) Botters aren't killing the economy. Those that are killing the economy are the greedy players that try to outdo the bots. "Ok, so this botter is selling his item for 50k, well I'll sell mine for 40k haha! take that you bot!" Do you know what's going to happen? He's going to lower his item by even more because he can afford the loss. Say he brings his down to 30k. Well, you can't compete with that because if you sell at 30k, you'll be at a loss with gil, but the botter can make them faster and cheaper so taking a 20k loss is not a big deal to them while you are sitting there with your 40k item, unsold, because you decided to be stupid. If a botter is selling an item for 50k, sell yours for 50k or only like 50gil cheaper because bots will ALWAYS outdo your price if it's substantially lower and they won't suffer for it at all.

Healer strike is ridiculously foolish and accomplishes nothing

You start with 2500 points. Every successful gathering attempt has you lose 10 points.
Once you have 1000 points or less, you begin auto-failing your gather. When you hit 0 points, you will always auto-fail.
Points regenerate at 100 per hour.

Basically, this means you can get 150 item drops each day (irl) before you hit gatherer's limitations, or 250 until you will stop getting items all together. That's drops, not total items. One drop may contain several items.

This info was taken from one of the community rep's posts, translating the information from a dev.

Ignorant statement of the day. With no bots, legitimate players would be making enough product to sell well. The bots glut the market with product that isn't supposed to be there, forcing players to lower the price because of the BOT induced oversupply.

This isn't even a debate or discussion. You're just wrong at best, and wrong for an affected reason that you're not divulging at worst.

Like, because an over-saturated market is no problem for sellers...?
