Botters

Accusations of botting is one topic.. but I think that this thread should continue the discussion on how detrimental botters are to the legitimate players and whether or not Square Enix will punish those who cheat.

With that said.. I dont want to end up paying monthly for a game where my biggest REGRET is that I chose to OBEY the Terms Of Use and the Final Fantasy XIV User Agreement.

It would be Prudent to have a legitimate response from the developers for legitimate players concerning this threads topic

This is unfortunately where legit players are forced to make a choice. Continue to play legitimately and have the botters outstrip them in every craft by the time the game's primetime phase enters, or bot to keep up.

Because I gotta tell you: my faith that SE has a running list of people who have botted their way to two, three, four, all R50 crafts already and will punish them when the time is right: zero. These cheaters will get away with it scot free.

The damage is already done. Cheaters own the keys to this game's economy, and nothing was done, and nothing will retroactively be done to undo that damage.

The botters are smarter than SE. SE figures that they'll be caught eventually. No, they won't. They'll make hay while the sun shines, then the second SE starts dealing with botters they'll quit.

For this game to actually deal with the problem, Square already has to have a running list of hundreds of real players and thousands of accounts that are already going to be banned.

And they don't have a single name.
