How to copy keybinds and UI [Guide]

Hi all I recently found how to do this currently and seen someone in need of a way of doing it I thought I would make it into a easy step guide to follow .

Now this is not my first guide but I am always open for criticism or if something is wrong just point it out I'll look into it and fix it if there is anything to add please feel free to do so I will include it if relevant and also credit where it is due.

Side note I am also dyslexic and am no English major so if there is grammar errors or fragmented sentences (what ever they are) that someone once pointed out I made so feel free to correct me I will change things just bear with my minor disability.

Okay let get this started.

I have found the easiest way to do this is to start by making a new character then navigate to this location.

** warning you will have to manually put you abilities on your bar as it will also copy all abilities that you had setup**

C:\Users\yourname\Documents\My Games\FINAL FANTASY XIV - A Realm Reborn

replacing yourname with what ever your user account is called on windows now I can only say this location for windows 7 but I assume other windows versions are similar.



In the image you can see the file location at the top and 5 folders that I have circled.

Each folder contains character data but as you can see there is no easy way to tell which character is which but there is a way to find out .

There is two ways in which you can do this I will explain the easy way first although this way takes a little longer depending on how many folders you have there ^^.

It all comes from that new character you just created as you know that you have only just created him/her go back to that folder and find the newly created one like so.



as you can see from here that folder was last modified today so that is the folder from my new character so from here I copy all my folders to another folder I have made on my desktop called characters like so.



Then one by one copy the contence from one folder to your new character folder logging in to see if it is the right set up you want you can even name each folder after you figure out which on it is but only the copies you must not change the name of the originals I have mine set up for different roles like so.



Once you have identified the one you want to use on all characters you can name it and store it an safe place to use when ever you make alts ^^.

The other way you can do it is if you know the dates you created said characters you can identify them that way and just copy accordingly .

There may be a third option that maybe even quicker but am yet to try it looking into that will update if it pans out ^^.

So you go from new character looking like this.



To this just in a few seconds.

Necro, but I think its deserved (and possibly a helpful reminder to people due to xpac inc). I'm updating some characters and can confirm the method here still works.
