We want Blue Mage ASAP

lol u serious I guess you never played FF titles especially FF11 which this game is a spin off of. In 11 Blu's were crazy dps of the best dps in the game... How do i know?... I used to play one...

blue mage uses monster skills. White wind, all-guard, res+, matra magic, angel whisper, bad breath, frog song, magic hammer, flash, guard-off, reflect???, froce field, dischord, mighty guard, night, angel's snack, vanish, auto-life, amplification, animating wall, awful eye ... ETC!

You havent played any other final fantasy titles than 11 i take it?
1) FFXIV is its own game, is not a spinoff of 11, and will never be, the ffxiv = ffxi-2 whining was already watered out in 1.0 sorry to say.
2) Blue mage has always mainly been a mage, with special skills used for extra support. Buffs and debuffs was what made them so special.

BLU will always be utility. Ffxiv is not built around utility classes, both limit breaks and duty finder tells this. What we need is more DPS classes, like... DRK.

Personally I love BLU in most iterations of FF, but I don't see it happening in this game. There are a TON of things that need fixing before I'd be worried about what job is coming out, and while SE claims to be addressing these in 2.1, I'm not holding my breath. Not to say they can't do it, but it's a pretty huge task.

How do you even see BLU managing to work in this game? GLA isn't a good choice for this. You'd need to go 30 levels as a Tank who is for all intents full melee then switch it to a mage? I know ACN goes from DPS > Healer, but it also starts out as a mage class. Maybe I'm not as creative as you, but I don't see it happening.

I dont know about 11 but in most iterations, blue mage was gimmicky -> unnecessary since for the most part, it was support with a few wtf skills.
Having wtf skills would be dumb (especially roulette skills) and it would most likely be a full support job, not a really dps.

But i would like to see this poll about it. Im sure most want Thief, Ninja, Samurai and DK before blue mage.
Hell, im waiting for time mage muh self.
