Maybe a little OT, but.... is there a way to tell the system to use HQ items for crafting a recipe when all NQ are finished?

I usually craft my own Quicksilver and get all HQs, so that I end up with 90 HQ and 3 NQ.

It is then annoying to craft other items from them and to manually select the arrow up in order to use an HQ quicksilver.

    Hope I was clear enough.

Does no one else drag the item and the hq version onto their action bar like I do? It gives you an easy way to check how many you have. It's been very useful while I gather.

Thanks for posting this thread to help address this issue. I think having the number of NQ and HQ in the tool tip when hovering over an item as well as showing the difference in NQ and HQ equipment stats (using parenthesis to show the different or alternative stat) would be simple and useful.

i'd love to have retainer names and how many they have of the item too. something like this. that way when they hover over the item in the craft screen they can be like "ohh i got that on my second retainer, i dont have to buy any" the crafting menu is find its being able to tell if you have that item is the problem i say something like this would fix it.

Good idea, Sanctus! Thanks for suggesting it! It's a workaround, to be sure (and what a shame that we, the players, have to devise workarounds), but until a proper fix comes, it's a great alternative!

Thank you for sharing this, April_Fool. Looks good! Hopefully, the folks-in-charge will be inspired to create/implement something like that.

Toggle for NQ and HQ Details Display

For the issue in being able to see the different stats from NQ to HQ, would it be possible to create some sort of toggle? That is, when you hover over an item or select it with the controller so that the details window is displayed, press a certain key or key combination to switch between showing the NQ and HQ item's stats. This way, the NQ and HQ stats can be shown even if you don't have both items. This could be used for any situation in addition to crafting and gathering, such as purchasing items on the market or examining another player.

    Greetings,

Below is a follow-up from Hiroshi Minagawa about the user interface updates he discussed yesterday.

The UI that is to be implemented for plan #1, which I described yesterday, will be something like the below:

    • Crafting log - (finished 2.1 implementation) – Addition of a display on the right side of the window that shows information for the item selected.
    • Gathering UI - (priority A) – There is a lot of room taken up by the display for the different shards so we need to adjust the specialized layout.
    • Gathering log - (priority B) – Same as above.
    • Fishing log - (priority C) – Add text to the information displayed when you hover over the fish you can catch at each spot in the lower right of the window.
    • Fish guide - (priority D) – Add text to the information of the fish you are selecting on the bottom of the windows.

Of the above, we are working hard to address up to the gathering UI in 2.1.

As the implementation of plan #2 described yesterday will take a bit more to address, we prioritized the implementation of plan #1 since we can definitely do this for 2.1.

Any chance at fixing the whole lack of GP situation while you're working on that.
