This is what I did for the time being and it seemed to help a lot in raids. Since in raids you have a bar for yourself to click on and heal when needed. But when your solo its much harder to heal your self without the <me> due to no way to easily select your character in the UI.

Just hitting F1 (default) would solve that tho XD. Also I don't normally solo as a scholar, I go as summoner or another dps class.

Good point, I guess now i'm less likely to run into this. I just had to do some soloing as SCH for relic.

That is a horrible macro to use, stick with <mo> only, ill tell you why.

If by chance you go out of range of the person you are trying to heal with that macro, it will cast it on yourself instead and you will not know it until it's to late, which could lead to a tank death. This is most likely what you are experiencing, being out of range of the person you are trying to <mo> heal.

If you are just using <mo> you will be unable to cast until you move close enough to be in range of the person you are healing, preventing you from accidently healing yourself instead of the tank and being none the wiser.

    Bad bad macro, <mo> only.

Having a naga might make this easier for me, but I run a focus target macro for my tank and MO for everyone else.

I have one spell set just for the tank then one for everyone else.

Shift F to set you focus and <f> should work to heal them.

I also agree that the multi tiered macros have proven less helpful to me. I just use the focus and plain mo macros.

That was not the case for me, I used the same Macro for a while but even if I was right next to the person I intended to heal, the macro would sometimes malfunction and skip both <mo> and <t>. This issue can also be experienced with DD classes where you have two or more buffs on the macro and it will skip some of the macro lines even though the buffs you intend to use are off the cooldown.

I guess everyone has different experiences but I use the same macro and have no issues with it. I do use a Naga mouse don't know if that makes a difference. I just mouse over party bar and I click 1 on the mouse. I don't mouse over the battlefield as I find that it's not that effective for me as mousing over the party bar. I will leave fairy near melee and tank if I'm moving a lot and most of the time the fairy can take care of it, if i'm out of position.
