    Mouse over macro issue

    Hi All,

I play SCH and am a huge fan of mouse over casting. I set up my macro as follows:

    /macroicon "Physics"
    /ac "Physic" <mo>
    /ac "Physic" <t>
    /ac "Physic" <me>

So ideally this should cast Physics on my mouse over, if i don’t have a mouse over then it should cast it on my target, if my target isn’t friendly then it should cast it on me. Trouble is this macro all the time will sometimes IGNORE both my mouse over and target and hit me with the heal. This has been bad because sometimes that heal is a crucial one.

Does anyone know how i can improve this macro or even better can you just turn on mouse over casting in the UI somewhere?

Thanks everyone for any and all help.

    Shift

Pretty sure this is due to the latency issues that many players are experiencing. My SO complains about this all the time -- the only current solution is not to use mouseover and use directly targeted heals instead.

I hope you left the s off the end of Physic

also, the three lines with the same spell seem to me like you're asking for trouble. I'd use 3 separate macros, or always use targeted healing as the poster above said.

Furthermore, it should be noticed that having three seperate macro like this in one macro displays a bloody annoying error message right in the middle of your screen (and in your chat). Really annoying.

I have disabled error messages in chat and hardly notice the error on the screen due to staring at health bars in the heat of battle.

Having a naga might make this easier for me, but I run a focus target macro for my tank and MO for everyone else.

I have one spell set just for the tank then one for everyone else.

Shift F to set you focus and <f> should work to heal them.

I also agree that the multi tiered macros have proven less helpful to me. I just use the focus and plain mo macros.

I just created this quick for an example. I have corrected the spelling in the OP. Thank you.

I do the exact same thing, I turned off errors in chat, but it still shows errors in the middle of your screen. The times when it displays the error "target out of range" it will just cast on you instead so you have to watch the error being displayed. That's the biggest problem with that macro settup is telling if a target is in range. Other times is when you raise a target, it takes forever before you are allowed to actually heal after his/her health shows up. Line of sight is the other error you have to watch out for but you will still cast on yourself.

I've been thinking about taking the <me> out of the macro and see if I get better response from it, but haven't tested it yet... don't know why lol. Every now and again I get the latency issue where there is no reason I should be healing myself but I do >.> but its not that often.

This is what I did for the time being and it seemed to help a lot in raids. Since in raids you have a bar for yourself to click on and heal when needed. But when your solo its much harder to heal your self without the <me> due to no way to easily select your character in the UI.

Just hitting F1 (default) would solve that tho XD. Also I don't normally solo as a scholar, I go as summoner or another dps class.
