It is hideous! Please allow us the option to turn the helm portion or the armor on or off!
Thanks!

Just skip it and go for your AF2 Chest, thats what I did...
Yes it sucks that we don't have separate pieces like other classes and have to consider this option, but it is an option. Also there is another lengthy topic regarding this armor somewhere and I think a dev responded to it too.

This is an option, however DL does have one advantage of AF+1, some classes share them. So, in my case DL is shared with my WAR. While I primarily on my PLD it's nice to switch up sometimes and have both tank jobs geared.Just skip it and go for your AF2 Chest, thats what I did...

In any case back to what the OP posted. SE has already said due to the way the model is built in their engine that there wasn't an easy way of doing so for the pieces that share a body/head slot. And while I agree it's annoying, and frankly one of my least favorite armour pieces for appearance wise, I'd rather them work on other aspects of the game then something that is just a vanity/visual thing that bugs me.

cowls shouldn't be in this game, they're all ugly.
unless it's the Ezio's assassin outfit collaboration like we got in XIII-2.

lalas are all ugly they shouldn't be in teh game, for the love of god please remove them.

Yeah no way in hell I'll be wearing that on pld. I'll wait to play pld until I have enough seals for some AF2

I got the AK chest drop, gives me an excuse not to grab the DL chest. >:3

worst thing is, we need 2 pieces of AF2 (body and head) to replace those ugly darklight trashes. and that needs 6 weeks to farm tomes of myth.
I bought the AF2 body part first and have to use my AF1 headgear right now.
