I just mean you can be every class and job on 1 character so there is little reason to make alts un less rping or want diff races but as I Saud will show how to do it once home will be about an hour will make it a guide and post it on here.
Also not sure what you mean Raphael about being job specific but I do think it is an option you can change in character settings as I have common bars and separate bars for jobs hope that helps you just check out the settings
They also offer a sub that you can only have 1 character per server trust me this game does mean towards only having one characterI\\'m with ya, buddy. I like having alts that have different play styles. And this game does promote having alts, despite what people seem to think. Why else would you be able to create up to 8 characters on one world (40 characters max). Some people might like playing different races, some just have active imaginations and want different types of characters that don\\'t all play the same style. To each his/her own, I say.
In my case, the idea was to start with three characters so I can see the first 15 levels of storyline from each of the starting cities, then once they all got to the point where the storylines merge, I would pick a favorite and continue with that one as my main. However, now that I'm reaching that point (already reached it with my Miqo'te and my Hyur, not yet with my Elezen) I'm finding that I'm too attached to each of my characters to abandon any of them.![]()
thanks. Interesting. As I said, still learning. I've read something about that (whole lot of info to absorb when starting a new game), but then I have to question why one can be a paladin, or a bard etc. Class choice, having to make a class in the beginning. Can a Pally become a bard? Am I way off base with this? I'm still sorting it all out (which is why I'm on this board LOL), but I'm sure it will start to make sense as I learn.I just mean you can be every class and job on 1 character so there is little reason to make alts un less rping or want diff races but as I Saud will show how to do it once home will be about an hour will make it a guide and post it on here.

Its a sickness, Niwashi. I have it too. Ok guide madeyou can find it here be kind :.
"When a child has an imaginary friend, we call it cute and play along. When an adult has an imaginary friend, we call it schizophrenia and treat him with drugs. When many adults share an imaginary friend, we call it religion and get yelled at when we point out the similarities between points two and three."
I haven't gotten to jobs yet, but I do have multiple classes. Here's how I understand it:
A palladin needs to be at least level 30 gladiator & level 15 conjurer. A bard needs to be level 30 archer & level 15 pugilist. But you can be all of those on one character if you take the time to level each of them. It's possible to advance a single character in all eight adventuring classes, all eleven crafting/gathering classes, and all nine jobs.
At a given moment, you're only advancing one class, and have full access to one class or job. (Some skills, however, can be assigned as cross-class skills, so there are advantages to leveling up other classes as well.) To change classes once you've unlocked them, you simply change your equipped weapon/tool. To change jobs (once unlocked) you change your equipped soul crystal.
With the hotbars you can just go into character configuration and select Hotbar Options. Under the Sharing tab you can select which hotbars change when you change classes and which stay the same no matter what. I carry 1 universal hotbar and three that change with class at the moment.
