Massive Massive Lag - Midgardsormr and instance server

The servers are lagging massively. I have seen the receive lag spike as high as 15sec. While the transmit is never over 300ms. I have even relogged with no affect. Other have reported it too in both shout and Free Company.

This needs to be fixed.

Same thing on Exodus, hard to do instances.

Gilgamesh reporting in. Was helping my FC on Titan and never have experienced such lag as I did. Leaders decided to call it until the lag subsides. Almost every party member was experiencing it.

Same thing on Excalibur, Titan is completely undoable and Castrum is lagging as well.

Ultros here, went to do AK this morning and nnnnnnope! Couldn't even tank the first boss due to varying lagspikes spanning up to TEN SECONDS before resuming. Just tried again and even crafting drops packets like mad. More than 30Mb down and a very respectable ping to everything else but FFXIV servers.

Only started having this problem today, besides the standard delays we're used to with stuff like healing, this is the only latency issue I've had with this game after more than a week playing.

Looks like a similar issue as when it got flakey over the weekend. Different IP's, but the same groups appear to be in play. Coming across the border, over near Washington, cutting across British Columbia and BAM---full time out and retry. Good old Cogent Communications / PSINet seems to be dropping the ball again.

Edit:Looking at it more closely, after the 4th trace I ran, the BC finally starting responding on all three pings again, but then the JFK02 started acting up, dropping at least one ping the next 3 runs. The ones that get through at that BC hop though are breaking the 130ms line, then it drops immediately back to the 70's for the rest of the run.

Heya Raist. Just got off the phone with Cox and he couldn't do anything about the route my comp makes to canada. He tried to reset my IP addy and for some reason after several tries was unable to do it. I will be upgrading my modem and router in the next couple of weeks (what I have is very old but has worked for years on everything else so haven't fixed it) and see if that helps. That is all I have left next to removing the router and hardwiring to the comp. I'm throwing in the towel on this one. My lag is 2 to 5 secs so I'm able to at least play with minimal discomfort but I'm waiting this one out, seeing as how I already paid for 90 days..... grrr. Thanks for all the effort you've put into these threads. At least I've leaned a couple new things ; )

Just to clarify I think this thread is referring to an issue that started about 2 hours ago where people who do not usually have an issue started lagging profusely. I am one of those people and this is really hurting my ability to progress since I have to do duties for my current story quest.
