What items are worth keeping or putting on market?

Hello,

might sound like a stupid question but...
I am a Legacy who never touched the board in 1.0
I gathered a LOT of item
I have almost 2 retainers full and I did not pick everything from my calamity man because I can't take all those items

I have no idea what most item are for, what can be worth something on the market and what could just be sold to NPC to free some space

Now I know there are websites like xivdb and such but I don't think I can go through the 500 items I have one by one to see what they are worth on the market...

So 2 questions:

1. Is there any way to check from the retainer how much the item is currently sold on the market or do I have to check the board? which mean I need to maybe write all my item on a paper or word document then go in the board and search for them 1 by 1...
2. Is there a website that explain what is valuable/worthless item so I can already get rid of the worthless items in NPC then check the rest on the market board?

You can check the prices from the retainer by putting the item up for sale. As you're setting the price there is a button in the top right screen that allows you to compare them.

Click sell items from my inventory/retainer there will be a little icon on the price entry screen. This brings up what is currently up for sale, by the way if you are already selling some of that item you will notice yours are not on the market as you recalled your retainer, but I digress. From the box that shows what is currently up for sale there is another icon on the top right corner that will show sales history for that item. I'm pretty sure you can figure out what to do from there.

I did not spot this icon, I was wondering if I should put a number randomly and hoping it will sale or if I had to go on a board check for everything

what can you do with those? I have stacks of them...
So many things from 1.0 I have no idea what to do... lol
