Looking for some info on weapons at lvl 50 (dragoon)

I have just arrived at level 50 and whilst going through the levels we were given a weapon as quest rewards, So now the question is at 50 do i buy from the market a decent weapon like the Obelisk,

or will that weapon be one of the final storyline rewards? As it is going for well over 200k on my server. and Or do dungeon runs until i am better equipped for titan and garuda.

I know i can get the Flame Lieutenant's Spear at a later date.

Get the best GC weapon or grind Wanderer's Palace in hope of getting the darklight one. They have the same stats. GC's is much easier to get.
Fight the hardmode primals and hope they drop it. Ifirit's doesn't matter too much but Garuda's is quite good.
Do the weapon relic quest. You can skip GC to relic if you want.
Make your relic +1. Congrats you now have the best weapon in the game.

GC weapon will be your best partner until you get ifrit/garuda weapon
depending on your luck you might ended up using that GC weapon for a long time
you might want to proceed with your relic quest as you farm ifrit/garuda

You don't buy equipments for battle classes in this game. Ever. It is just waste of money. You can get every item you will ever need through quests, using GC seals, farming primals for weapon and farming CM/AK/prae for armors.

I suggest you try to get ifrit weapon from HM ifrit. If it seems you are just having bad luck and it won't drop, start last GC quest and run AK once which will unlock the best GC weapon for you to buy. Then start working on your relic or just farm primals for better weapons.

im guessing you already know to farm darklight before you even attempt titan as far as armor goes, but once you got a good chunk of Ilevel 60 (from AK) and darklight (from tokens) I would just skip to garuda, once you have a competent group she goes down dead easy, just skip ifirit apart from the quest clear for him, his weapons not worth it since people will want you to have garuda for titan anyway

but yeah once you have titan down, and hand in your relic quest boom, you have the 3rd best wep in the game 3 weeks of maxing out tokens will net you the +1 and you have the best damn thing in the game.

I'd say:

1. Get a GC weapon and start farming AK (and after mythology tomes are capped, maybe CM) for tomestones and AK gear.
2. Start relic quest using the GC weapon and AF (+AK+DL) gear.
3. When you get to Garuda, farm the Garuda weapon and upgrade all your gear from AF to DL and AK, maybe relic gear too.
4. Beat Titan.

Then you'll have a relic weapon and well geared DRG.

I've been told my Mog Fork is better then the Garuda weapon , so I'm using that til Relic.
