Hello,

I have personal friends who picked up FFXIV: ARR but I am not able to play with any of them because of Congestion, Character Creation restrictions and Log-in restrictions.

You guys have gave us a lot of bonuses other games would of never have, Multiple Welcome Back Campaigns, Free days, Character make-overs, Free transfers, the list goes on...

But I feel the separation of friends is not their choice and is unfair, thus I am requesting applications for a one-time free transfer to a server/world of their choice after the congestion and server/world restrictions are dealt with.

Problems I have encountered because of this;
1. Unable to play with friends because they could not make characters on the same world/server.
2. Guildmates thinking about transferring because their friends could not roll on the same world/server and had to choose an alternative.
3. All of guildmates friends who rolled on a different server and wants to transfer to the same server is a huge of unnecessary money spent.

Anybody who supports this notion please like or give your input.

a limited time, 1 time server transfer (legacy rules apply of course) to another server once they've been fixed up.

I have a lot of friends who are mostly wanting to play XIV because I requested they give it a try. They won't play unless we can play together! If they can't make a character in my current server, I have high doubts they will play. I am sure I'm not the only one in this current situation. I also have a large group of friends from XI that want to play on the same server but a lot of them can't come to mine. You can say "Try a less crowded server" but they are all crowded. So step one: Expand the tiny servers. Step 2: allow limited time, one-time server swap as OP suggested! Keeping with the original theme of making this game with user input heavily in mind, I say do right by us who have remained faithful even through the disaster that was 1.0

I'd love this as well, everyone I know was forced to split up into different servers. I wouldn't necessarily impose legacy restrictions, since new players had the same server limitations at start. Perhaps any character created from early access to the day the application goes up is eligible. Any new characters created after the limited transfer application have standard fee, and old characters get the fee again after transfer date has passed.

I agree with this, got some friends that are playing and because of the lockdown we are all spread around on multiple servers. SE should allow 1 free transfer per account, so only 1 character gets transferred for free, and any additional characters you would have to pay for it.

It shouldn't be legacy only, if the point is to have friends come to play on your server. It's the NEW players ie your friends that want to come play with you on YOUR server. At least i for one am not dying to leave my LS etc to go play with my lv20 friend on Gilgamesh Goblin or some other new server. So yea that's the reason new people need this too not just legacy, so the new friends can come join you.

Btw i lol'd when SE suddenly decide to allow pay server transfers again before the Xfer service was supposed to be available reopened but after everyone started having these problems, so yea, you answer is going to be "We already gave all the Legacy opportunity to transfer free once!" or "You can transfer to your friends world if you BUY our world transfer server, it's very affordable!"

Another good alternative is to just let people make party for que and chat with people on other servers. Like other game companies let you do, some even let you do it across different games so i don't get why this is farfetched in XIV.

I also have to agree with the OP. 3 friends so far are split on random servers, and one had to play on a JP server just to play! I know some official statements have been made but i really REALLY hate hearing "Sorry" all the time. The official release should have been pushed back the moment they saw there was issues.

I've been trying sooo hard to get friends from WoW and other mmos to come try beta and this game for a year it feels like, its finally time they bought it and we cannot only play together but sometimes even on this random ass servers... we cant play at all with all the errors.

I agree OP, its been over a week and still I can't even play when i want to on my days off. I don't forsee server transfers happening anytime in the near future with such slow response time to issues. Its official release now not Beta, you cant just say sorry after youve taken our money, well you can, but look what happens myself and others are PISSED at how ignorant this has all panned out.

I have over a dozen RL friends that are scattered to the winds because of servers being closed and their absolute refusal to wait for my server to open up. A one time transfer would be nice but I've got a bad feeling we'd end up in the same boat with lots of servers being locked out due to population fluctuations.

I transferred to a server to play with friends only to have them get locked out and are on another server now themselves. I am in full backing of this- if they could transfer to me, it'd be a happy day. If I could transfer to them, an even happier day. Thank you, SE!
