You can find instructions here in the thread with !FIX! something in the header or google if it's no longer here.

Also just now tried one of those routing services for a free 30 days - that did actually help me quite a bit, going from very laggy and spiky to a seamless 120 ms post installing. I do however live in europe, and I suppose the benefits for me would be more helpful.
Tried this, no dice... I should note that mostly this isn't simply high latency, but that for a minute or two at a time I can't get the game to respond.

If you used that popular IP starting with 184, you didn't hit a datacenter---you hit the old www.eidos.com website IP, that is still hosting some of the sites for their titles, as well as an SE site.

Just saying, if you want to get some data on what is going on with your game's connection, you need to be hitting the IP it is using.

Actually, it is owned and maintained by Cogent. They own that entire block of IP's, according to ARIN--and the WhoIs has they're fingerprints on it too. It looks more like Ormucos is leasing it than anything else. Doesn't automatically follow that they maintain it if they are leasing.

I am really wishing they had a dislike button on these forums now too.
