    Ifrit & Garuda

    As I've been progressing through the game I've been seeing people with glowing pet-looking things floating behind them and assisting in battles called Ifrit-Egi and Garuda-Egi. What are these, summoner things? Pets? Where/how do you get them?

    These are pets for the summoner class. To get them you will need to level arcanist to 30 and then open the summoner job. However, in order to get the egi you first need to beat the relevent "mini primal" in the story mode and then kill the egi version solo in a quest.
