Wondering if viewers would like a more complex macro setup of this or prefer this simple fundamental to get started...

Freakin' awesome tutorial! I had no idea about macros until some players I was partying with mentioned them. The game doesn't really mention or explain them anywhere... thanks for the video! As a tank playing on PS3, it's so hard for me to mark targets. I can't wait to try this out and improve my raiding skills.

Fundamentals are great for helping players get a grasp on the macro codes, especially what codes do what, I find macros can be intimidating at first (especially since most games don't tell you what codes you need in a direct manner) but after seeing a few templates of what other players use they get easier to navigate.
I reckon after you think you've covered enough basics you should move into some more complex stuff.
I used to play XI so I've been really used to that macro and command system, and when ARR released and I looked at the macros and I was like a fish out of water, so I appreciate you posting these.
I hear so many people being really happy with the macro system... maybe it's just the classes I've chosen to play but I don't find that I use them for much.
War ... I have 1 macro and that's to tell my party that my stun is on cooldown (and it's not on my stun in case I mash that button)
Bard ... I have 1 macro to tell my party that my silence is on cooldown (again not on my silence because I might mash that)
Conj / Arc ... I have macros on bar 10 next to the party menu... so that it casts cure/physick on the person who's name it's next to.
... I have a macro for Fluid Aura that marks the target as <bind1>
Sure they're nice but I just never find myself in a skill order often enough (where I don't want to switch out for something else) that I want to macro multiple skills together, and I prefer to use my offensive skills to burst / defensive to protect against burst. My DPS might be higher if I rode them all on cooldown but I don't NOT have them when I need them.
For Crafting I have 2 macros... 1 for 40dura items and 1 for 70dura items.
This is actually my plan...Fundamentals are great for helping players get a grasp on the macro codes, especially what codes do what, I find macros can be intimidating at first (especially since most games don't tell you what codes you need in a direct manner) but after seeing a few templates of what other players use they get easier to navigate.

I can understand how you feel... in actuality you can see i only have the default macros and 2 custom macros I've created. I'm more about efficiency than just simply making a macro for everything.I hear so many people being really happy with the macro system... maybe it's just the classes I've chosen to play but I don't find that I use them for much.
