How to chat/message via Lodestone?

Can someone please explain to me how to chat with other players on this site? I can't find a private messaging option anywhere. Does a chat function even exist? Or can we only communicate through the public forums? I just want to message some friends I met through Duty Finder who are on different servers than me. That's why I joined Lodestone since you can't message people on diff servers within the game... please help!

You cannot message people via the Lodestone - the best you could do is go to their profile and leave a comment on a blog (if they have one).

Maybe it's just me, but I really wish there was a way to message people here. I got matched up with an awesome party via Duty Finder, but we are all on diff servers, so I can't talk to any of them or even friend them

Even if there was a way to direct them to a specific thread in the forums would be helpful, but I guess that's not possible either. Ugh, so annoying -_-

I totally agree. Wouldn't it be interesting if we had a "wall" for people to post? But you had to accept what's been posted, that way you're not covered in spam. Or maybe we'd just get a bunch of random messages from RMT bots... If we didn't have to deal with RMT's/spammers it might be nice to have our own little FF community social media type thing in the Lodestone.
