I noticed that the Chocobo companion only has 10 ranks. I only got him to level 2 so far, and he got 1 point at level 1..and two points at level 2. If that continues does that mean hes only going to get the exact number of points required to max out a single tier type?

I kind of messed up and put one point in tanking, and one point in healing. I quickly learned he sucks at tanking, and my tank summon is much stronger. So I figured I would make him a healer. Now I am worried I wont have enough points to complete his healer role.

1. Do you get an exact number of points to max one tier, or is there a few extra points in case you wanted to experiment a little.

2. Is there any way to reset your chocobo points like you can your attribute points?

3. How the hell do you level this thing. I have had him out since I got him in every battle he can be in. I have gained 15 levels, he is only halfway though his second bar.

1. I'm pretty sure you get an exact number.

2. Currently, no. It also tells you this in the tip that pops up after you unlock the ability to level them.

3. Fight things! It just takes a while.

Well that is lame, I guess I dont need to bother leveling him up anymore. Cant have a complete chocobo without switching alliances, then hes useless.

They've said they will implement a way to respec chocobos in a later update. They're lower level skills aren't very good in any branch. I'm told they get better. They do take forever to rank up though.

He's still very useful when solo'ing even if you can't max one of the things out. I wouldn't give up on him entirely.
