I love this game, has been a fun time for me and the family. As of 2 hours ago, we both canceled out 90 subs because i can no longer play this game. I can only assume its from poor programming on SE side, but here we go. I build a PC specifically to play this game. the PC was right at a year old when beta phase 3 came around. everything worked fine, then in beta 4 it melted my video card, almost literally, seeing other people having trouble with the same card, and the already obvious damage, i chucked that card for a new more efficient, slightly less powerful card. worked like a dream now a month after release, 1 day after another maintenance, now my PC shuts off completely if i play the game for more than 5 min. even on the lowest settings. my card isnt overheating. and pc works fine with all other games. People are telling me its my PSU, my 600W 1 year old PSU that somehow died overnight while the PC was off. I doubt it, but hey who knows. Everytime i think i'm making headway something else . goes wrong. I for one will miss my friends and the experiences, but not the headache. So once again, thanks for the memories. Peace

Have you tried resetting the cmos..I was having problems were the game was crashing my pc and thought was my video card and upgraded to a better. Still crashed, I ended up resetting cmos and flashing bios, fixed the issue.

Well, sorry your having issues.
Sorry your not giving any tech specs to resolve the issues with the community.
But if 98% of player play without issue you have something setup wrong.

I had to Flash my Cmos,
Flash my video card.
update my video card driver and now no crashing at all.


Finally there is PS3 and soon to be PS4 support. Where if hardware fails hope you got warranty.

This game just seems to run odd in some way, I mean before the game was released I had no issues at all and this was with my old pc before I built my new one that runs all my games fine, now FF also runs fine for me...providing i don't run it on max resolution that is, I don't get any FPS drop but instead I get a hell of a lot of stuttering to the point that as I'm trying to run forward for example...I seem to skip forward ever so slightly and it happens too much to the point where it hurts my eyes.

I will garuntee you either your PSU is not good enough for your video card, or you have poor airflow and are overheating. It may even be a driver issue depending on the version and model of your card. Please Provide actual PC statisics

You can't have built a very good PC if you can't play the game on it. You haven't given us your hardware specs.

Most of the compnents in my PC are at least 3 years, some 5 years old, and I can run the game just fine.

It's not SE's fault you melted your card. all you had to do was set the framerate limit, which you should have, and you probably needed to dust out your case. No video card under factory settings should be melting even under constant 100% load unless it's coated in dust/airflow is blocked or you overclocked it.

Sorry you're quitting, but it sounds to me the problems are yours, not SE's. You shouldn't be suprised that this community is mostly smart enough to know you're not telling us everything, and it's probably because you know deep down that this isn't SE's / the game's fault.
