    Yeah, what they said ALOT of the recipe require you to craft a lower level weapon and "upgrade it" to new recipe. These are just "upgrade" recipes.

    Another issue you could have is trying to use an item that you've already started bonding with. If the spiritbond is at anything except 0%, I don't think you can use it in a recipe (but you can NPC sell it or trade it to NPC for quests/GC provisions)

    Nah, you can totally upgrade partially spiritbonded stuff. I just did this with a hammer for my ARM crafted (and re-crafted) by my BSM.
