This was something I put on one of my request threads located here: A Realm Reborn Roleplaying Community Wishes and all suggestions made thus far are listed at the start of this thread: Game Suggestions from the Roleplayers

I agree that the lack of footprints for riding mounts and running around on foot is a bit of a downer. In the Opening Cinematic we see the Heroes of Light running their Chocobo's towards objects in the distance and their chocobos leaving obvious footprints. I would have thought it would be a no brainer to include it in the game for players.
The littlest details go the longest mile as I always say.
