ill play with it tomorrow, thanks for the linkThere is probably something in your nvidia control panel that will allow you to do this. Idk.. ive been using an AMD for the last 3 years. If there isnt there are lots of 3rd party tools to do this with. Check in your nvidia control settings first. Then if they don't have something built in just google "nvidia overclocking tool".
Here is a link to some nvidia software that should help:

You told us that you monitor the temp of your GPU... but what about your CPU? and what is the temperature?
I'm leaning more towards a faulty PSU, though.

Lol I didn't look through the log. XP
I don't see the point in downclocking his GPU though. 600w is plenty for his system.
The downclock is simply to test if it is a PSU issue. He does indeed have enough power. But that assumes his PSU is working properly, and up to its stated wattage. If the GPU gets downclocked, and the computer no longer shuts down. It is clearly a power issue (because we already know the gpu isnt overheating). I am not telling him to downclock as a solution. I am telling him to downclock as a test to confirm my suspicion as to what the real problem is.
yeah thats the one. im gonna post the link to the newegg one i was gonna get, can you guys tell me if it will work with my card? ntall1 said something about the right connectors. my specs were in post earlier, but i have a Nvidia GeForce GTX 650think I found a pic of the label on the side of that 600W model:

Look familiar? Unfortunately, can't tell if that is SLI/Xfire or 80-Plus certified. So, that may very well be your problem---especially if it isn't certified. Uncertified units don't have a confirmed level of output under extreme conditions (high loads and/or high heat), and tend to degrade at a much faster rate. For instance, a certified 600 watt almost guarantees you will get 480 watts out of it under high load or a hot environment--a lesser quality may only be able to deliver ~400 under the same rigorous conditions.
Might want to check on that with the one you found at Newegg too. If it doesn't have one of those certifications, it may start to give you problems after you've run it hard for a bout a year or so and you will need to replace it again.

I still recommend under clocking your vid card just to see if it stops shutting down your computer.
the slider on afterburner is allows me to take it from default 0, to +502 or -502. I have it on -200. lets try it
NA/EU servers down? i cant get list
