Just wondering google finds me some websites showin me x-potion recipes just like x-potion of strength. You can even see that pot on the market but why does the alchemist not have that recipe yet? Just wondering since any other class have their 2stars.

Just wondering google finds me some websites showin me x-potion recipes just like x-potion of strength. You can even see that pot on the market but why does the alchemist not have that recipe yet? Just wondering since any other class have their 2stars.

Alchemists technically can make x-potions, x-ethers, and hi-elixirs but you'll never see one made.

Why? Because they require tomestone purchased ingredients. Three x-potions/x-ethers cost about 100k to make. Three hi-elixirs cost just under 1 million gil to make. Yes, you read that correctly, 1,000,000 gil for 3 hi-elixirs.


I truly hope this was not intentional because alchemy is in a bad enough place as it is. Nobody wants the poisoning/blinding/paralyzing/sleeping potions, or any of the elemental resist potions, or stat boosting potions. This leaves health pots and ethers, and we can't even make the best ones...

I'm pretty sure that chests/coffers in Castrum Meridanium regularly drop X-Potions, X-Ethers and Hi-Elixirs, explaining why they're on the market board.

And yeah, I'll agree that the 2-Star consumable costs are outrageous. What's stopping Squeenix from requiring good crafting gear and making them cheap to make, anyway?

Alchemy is a joke.
Everything is trash on it. Even HQ mega-potions for stats are garbage. 56 of a base stat for 15 seconds, 4.5 minute CD. You lose a couple second before you can even get an action off, so you only get 4-5 GCD's out of it.

It's better then nothing I guess, but they are just junky.

2-star consumables are an insult. 125 tombs to make 3 X-Potions?! what the hell.
1125 for some Hi-Elixers?!?

I think you dont get me. I am not talking about X-Potion or Hi Elixier, i am talking about X-Potion of Strength/Intelligence/Vitality etc. Those are listed on the market but there is no recipe to craft them and i wonder why.
