Game Heading in the Dull and Boring Direction

This kind of logic is why almost every MMO that has released since Wow has either died or went into obscurity. Why would people wait for one game to make a reasonable amount of content when another already has it?

Why do I want to play FF XIV with its "low" amount of content while FF XI have years of updates behind it ? Because I already did those years of content playing it for years and i want something new.
