Why, because I'm leveling multiple classes and not just one. It's a great way to supplement gear for all my classes wihout paying the over-inflated prices for HQ gear at the AH.

Over inflated? for lvl 1-50 leveling gear? seriously? Are you on a legacy server or have you just never checked the AH's prices? lmao

Yes, Excalibur is a legacy server and the prices for components and items are still out of whack 1 month later.

if by the time you're level 20 and you still can't make HQ armor, crafting is probably not for you.

Because theres not much better to do would be a valid reason. Running a dungeon over and over eventually gets really boring really fast. 1.0 shoulda proven that. So what do you do... well, if you absolutely hate crafting you just stand around in ul'dah or something, or log off and do something else. Or, you craft/gather.
