This would be true except for that it seems that a large number of goldsellers appear to be accounts that have been hacked, which means that they are not really paying for the accounts themselves.

Yeah. There's no purchasing of games going on here from RMT. If there is it's extremely likely to be credit card fraud. All the grunt work is done on compromised accounts.

This completely. I am seeing less farming and shouting from people named Dqwnwnqw Ejnwfon and more from characters whose names seem thought out. RMTs goal is to spend as little as possible and profit as much as possible. Hacking lets them do this to not only steal from the account owner but also to provide a new mule.
