It means you don't have to respec your stats to the point that they might as well just delete the whole damn stats page.
If respeccing is the concern then just let us save "builds" by "job" - so that when you switch "jobs" it swaps your stats (which you've unlocked via Physical Level), your skills (which you unlocked via Discipline Rank), and your gear (which you bought, won, what not and meet the requirements (based on stats) to equip).
I guess that went over your head... Hes actually making fun of your suggestion and I'm laughing in agreement. It means you don't have to respec your stats to the point that they might as well just delete the whole damn stats page.

Yes, we will see a big difference. I don't think anyone is denying that. But, has anyone actually done this and generated a large dataset? That is the issue. The difference does not necessarily mean that rank is the determining factor. It's likely that that's what it means, but "likelihood" does not constitute proof.
You're also missing details on the test: the characters need to be the same class and using the same gear.
This from someone whose every post is a broken record demonstrating an unwillingness to acknowledge the other point of view. Asking for proof demonstrates a willingness to be convinced. Personally, I'm not interested enough in the answer to put a lot of time I don't have into analyzing a combat system which will be replaced in a month.
But its not a combat system... It's a stat system. Two different things.
I'm not sure what your point here is.
My point was that the new combat system will very likely use the same stats in a different way, so any work analyzing the current state of the game would not be useful in the long run ( as interesting as it might be to some ).
The application of stats in calculating damage is part of the combat system.
And my point was that you cant assume that they're changing everything in one fell swoop. They could bandaid a new combat system and leave stats intact and let it work itself out.I'm not sure what your point here is.

And that invalidates my point how? "My point was that the new combat system will very likely use the same stats in a different way" - almost the exact same thing you just said.
I simply don't wish to start experimenting to reverse engineer the equations until we have a finalized system in place. And the words "very likely" were there to indicate that I was speculating to some degree.
kuro, you fail very badly at math, she only proved that dlevel increases your dmg she never compared it to anything else, she didnt do it with a level 50 weapon vs a level 1, all her stats are with level 1 weapon.
if you dont understand the different behaviors of different types of equations at thier limits then you have no business trying to deal with equations. if you think that a hyperbola a quadratic and the equation of a line are the same types of relationships, and that the same data points are useful, then you just dont get it at all.
But ehh why am i breaking my back, they are going to change the formulas anyway, and you still wont understand it until someone else puts it in your face and tells you what to do with it anyway. Dont worry, real math people will figure it out and hand you the answer to the equations, and you can just nod you head and quote them.
you fail, good night sir
There was math there? lol
I'm sorry all I saw were some numbers under different circumstances that proved something you asked about AFTER the fact.
You're pretty bad at trolling bro.
