    The Character config is a separate menu from the System config, at least on the PC version. Look around the System menu a bit more and you will probably find it. This menu is only available while currently logged into a character, you cannot access it from the login screen.

    The gear icon he is talking about is the one on the chat log. It is a shortcut into the chat config, where other options are accessible, but you do not need to enter the config menu that way.

    Just wanted to say thanks, I have kinda got to grips to playing a mmorpg on a console now. To be honest buying a digital download was a mistake (Hence manual question). However I have noticed a mature and helpful community both in game and on the forums.

    One last question, this is directed at PS3 players......

    When I select Exit or Logout from the main start menu it always returns me to the browser log in screen. Only way to completely leave the game is turn off my PS3? Anyone else have this?

    Not a mistake.... UK manual just gives you 3 pages of legal blurb, 2 customer support, 2 on installing the game and 3 blank ones for "Notes".
