Free Company Crests next to Names

Has adding the FC crest to the left of your name been discussed or mentioned anywhere as a possible return?

In FFXI i loved having out LS next to my name, it looked great when we were all doing stuff together.

..and I didn't play FFXIV1.0 but I have seen that there were crests in that and they looked really good.

Another reason for me asking this is that I am the leader of a large-ish FC which uses the tag "Terra" but there is another FC in the server with the same tag "Terra" and that bothers me a little, cos it's not a unique tag system. And I know, crests won't be unique either but it will at least allow us to distinguish between two companies with the same tag and it of course looks cool too.

Maybe implement it as a Company Rank or something.

I'd prefer something like tabards, as I personally and a lot of people I know have names turned off by default.

Of course, we could do something crazy, and put our heraldry on our shields.

Except only you can see that, other people can't. Like how you're the only one who can see you retainer(s).

Edit: Some don't actually use that 'put the crest' on the shield/item/gear thing. Plus I've checked and not all gear is allowed for you to put your crest on it. So the idea of having it put beside your name, and making that optional for people if they want it shown on their screens is totally up to them. There are some of us that want them on.
