People play because its Final Fantasy, and still 'hoping' they will fix these CORE issues.
Them locking the thread and shoo us off else where is totally uncool.

Fix the unacceptable delay when dodging AOEs. http://forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/threads/84124-Either-make-dodging-AoEs-possible-or-make-them-not-instant-kills
Fix it! http://forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/threads/89828-Sorry-SE-but-endgame-won-t-work-if-you-don-t-fix-something.
As I'm sure I already mentioned in the original thread, I'm having this issue too.
A redesigned-from-the-ground-up big-budget pay to play MMO from someone like Square-Enix shouldn't be outperformed by F2P Korean and Chinese MMOs localised by companies that have barely been around for twelve months, never mind WoW.
I shouldn't have to sacrifice a goat to the God of L'agg before a progression boss (Titan, either mode), and there's no way you should be providing visual AOE "clues" if I'm apparently meant to completely ignore them and go off either memory, blind luck or a completely different timer (cast bar) that you don't by default let my main class (WHM) see anyway.
~Note to self: Stop logging out in silly hats~
Demon wall is pretty cool sometimes, knock someone off the ledge 10s after a push, happen to a dps frd last night, whats funny was is thats what was shown on my screen too, he flew off after 10s.
So, there are definitely some server side issues.
The core of this game is seriously broken, people interested in end-game pve won't stay long here, unless only games they played before were ffxi and 1.0
Something does not feel right with your game: http://forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/threads/86836-The-Navel-(Hard)-plume-animation-damage-impact-out-of-sync http://forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/threads/71728-The-problem-with-Instant-OFF-GCD-abilities-makes-combat-feel-less-rewarding http://forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/threads/91388-Silence-not-taking-effect-even-though-it-is-used-before-enemy-finishes-the-casting http://forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/threads/86887-Unable-to-activate-skills-even-though-UI-displays-them-as-available-for-use
Except they're not doing their damn IP any favors by being so subpar with this. Do you honestly think a customer will take being snubbed to this degree for a third time? Let alone more times? The complacency and lack of communication is bloody astonishing. Honestly, it goes to show you exactly why Japanese games, sans niche ones, have been such a hard sell as of late. Western developers are totally whipping these guy's asses. It's a pathetic state of events. I challenge you guys to grow a damn vagina. See Betty White if you don't get what I'm saying!!!Anyone bothered by this just needs to unsub.
SE clearly doesn't care that their core game mechanics are shit (see also: the off-gcd thread) and so why should we pay a monthly "premium" for a game that's outclassed by a 10-year-old product as well as many F2P, B2P, or Free-to-Try products.
FIX IT, FIX IT, FIX IT!

I quit version 1 after going through enough deaths when I clearly avoided the move... When they mentioned data centers within US region (I live in the US) I felt a renewed sense of hope.. Unfortunately I did not keep up with the beta, missed the server xfer date and i'm still on that server. I'm having the issues with red outlined abilities. Now that they are going to implement world xfer again & free for the first 5 days I'm at the point where if this latency issue is indeed universal, then I don't know if I can continue. Does anyone feel like going from a JP data center to a US server will improve this issue?
Seriously it's 2013 I don't see how this issue can be overlooked, new content will be awesome but If you're going to get wiped over latency issues then what's the point? (I'm a tank/healer so that's pretty huge deal as my role is critical). And for the people saying it's working fine and people need to react faster.. All you've basically said is keep running when the rotation comes up... that's not even logical.. that's what a player who hasn't been to a fight would do because they don't know how to move fast enough. Skilled players (at least in games with good latency) can dodge abilities and moves almost at the end. It's an amazing game in appearance but it's retaining some major issues & what's up with tab targeting?? O M G & as ppl have said, off-GCD skills aswell, not to mention the cookie cutter linear gear approach to the game.. everyone has the same gear unless you actually have melded items, which only accessories outshine the token-bought item. There is no customization in gear & build. At least in Ver.1 warriors could wear more DPS oriented armor, now they are given the same gear as paladin when the 2 classes play differently & require different setups. Makes me sad, really wanted to continue further with this game :-(
If you are in the US, it almost certainly will.
Going from the jp legacy I started on to the US one I'm currently on, I went from zero issues on titan to having to randomly run around and hope.
(In my case jp gives me better connection)
Signing because I want Titan fixed.
So going from JP legacy to US legacy made things worse? That's what i'm trying to understand. I've been asking around and many ppl tell me that JP servers actually are better & more stable as they have been around the longest. If that's the case I'm wondering if I move things may get worse for me instead of improve. If it indeed is universal design for this 300ms server check then it's the server and not connection. I've watched Mr.Happy's video on DoTs & HoTs and I was a bit shocked to find out that they all tick at the same time regardless of when they are casted because the servers time everything.. that's probably where all this mess is tied in.. everything is tied into the 300ms server re-checks, including positioning. Running around randomly or casting/using a skill after you move so the server "refreshes" position is an unnecessary hassle & just a workaround that players should not have to deal with.
