DL seems way cheaper to me

the only good thing with these lv70 crafts better than DL you can meld materia in it & HQ it too for boost stats

It's only marginally better if you meld it, and you can't get your main stat on most of the pieces as the caps are ridiculously low.

Personally I would say not worth it, especially for the extra cost.

People are also forgetting that CT will drop ilvl 80 gear which will make this crafting gear all but useless, at least we still have a couple of months to enjoys its overpriced glory.

Yeh the only way to make the lvl 70 crafted better than Darklight is to not only buy already super expensive HQ stuff (or craft it super expensively) and then forbidden meld it. Honestly it's not worth it considering DL gear is a stepping stone to AF+1 anyhow. Best suggestion, sell the materials if you have spare tombstones, plenty of folks still thinking that crafting is viable at end game to make a profit on.

HQ rate on the majority of i70 gear is 100% and it's no more expensive than crafting the NQ version. In fact, if you are farming your own Tomestone mats it's basically free.

The cost lies in Materia which nobody will deny can be expensive. Nonetheless, using your 100% slots will in most cases outdo DL anyway, and overmelding to 4-5 slots basically makes them i80 pieces.

I'll say it again; Darklight is cheaper and worse. Stop arguing with this, it makes no sense.

think about what they did in ffxi
crafting armor was an alternative to those with gil who couldn't not obtain the better equipment via boss.

in ffxiv however they took this approach with crafting, bosses drop good armor, crafters can make armor on par with MATERIA.


DL= for sure way to get armor.
Crafting armor= FAST way, GIL way.

the harder of the two is crafting armor so therefor its going to be better than something thats easier obtained.

the 100% for sure reason that the armor is there, is for your alternate job in the future, when cap is rasied ect, your not going to want to farm tomes for your lvl 50 when cap is 75, so you buy the crafted armor to suffice until next armor.

well, you will need gil too as no one will afford farming tomes for crafting mats

if someone need gil over tomes you can ask for the crafting mat for 30k gil for example

but since im not rich atm i will consider doing it wen i have some millions
