In Limsa-FishPirate-Town andAgrabahUl'dah you can see the huge buildings surrounding the innkeep that must be where all the inn rooms are for the endless throngs of weary adventurers that clog the cities.
But in Good ol' Griddy, where exactly do they keep all those inn rooms?? The innkeep is just in this dinky building, the lower level of which is the airship dock. There's no extra rooms or buildings near it, just that nice pond and more Gridanian shrubbery.
My current theory is that the Gridanian inn is... a SHAM! I think they just take you out back behind the building and let some forest moogles cast Sleep on you. Then they use your body for their unspeakably horrific mog rituals.
The fact that it looks like you're in an inn room and you have a perfectly functional armoire and access to your retainers? Uh, Matrix-esque Moogle Magic, of course.
I'm working on another theory where the stained glass windows are actually interdimensional portals.
Anyone else have any explanations for Gridania's dubiously located inn?
